Monthly Webinar Briefings:

These Webinars will provide a monthly update for current activities, documents and events in the coding, billing, Chargemaster, reimbursement and compliance primarily for the Medicare program and secondarily for private third-party payers as appropriate. Coverage of topics will include compliance issues such as the Medicare RAC program, updates and changes to payment systems such as APCs and MS-DRGs along with update information concerning various code sets such as CPT, ICD-9, and Revenue Codes along with other code sets used on the UB-04 and 1500 claim forms. Besides reporting on the changes that are occurring, as much as possible background information, analysis and references will be provided for the topics discussed. These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to day-to-day Medicare challenges. Today's hospital staffs and the professionals who support these functions are facing a multitude of complex issues, many of which present challenging questions to those involved without access to immediate solutions.

Participants will also have access to an electronic discussion forum by which questions, comments or suggestions can be submitted. Topics discussed through this forum will also be considered for inclusion in the discussions during the monthly update sessions. Participants will also receive a free e-mail subscription to the Abbey & Abbey, Consultants, Inc. monthly Medical Reimbursement Newsletter. Participants in this series will become better resources to hospital staff, administration, and the medical staff to assist in addressing and resolving these challenging and new issues. …web-based Education for the Healthcare Professional Coding, Billing, Chargemaster, Reimbursement and Compliance for Medicare in 2009 Keeping up to date with understanding!
